When we were teenagers they had all kinds of people coming down to the Hall to sing and for parties, and I couldn’t go because my grandmother wouldn’t allow me to go out. My boyfriend was always here and he saw James Brown and a lot of other acts. I went there one night when Bo & Dee played there because I always heard about them, I snuck out that night and that was my highlight seeing Bo & Dee sing and play. Then I married my boyfriend and we had our wedding reception at the Hall in 1971.
