A Soulful Christmas
Santa Claus is coming to the 100 Men Hall, and we're talking Black Santa. The Hall's Annual A Soulful Christmas returns on every second Saturday in December from 9am to noon. This event is a holiday fun fest for all ages featuring a hot breakfast and selfies with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
A Soulful Christmas is a community event and is free to all participants.
There is fun to be had by all, AND all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Families are invited to bring their children and their smartphones to the 100 Men Hall to snap a Christmas selfie with Santa and Mrs. Claus, enjoy soulful holiday music, enjoy a hot breakfast and play reindeer games. There will be toys and prizes for the littles and the bigs!

Volunteers
The kitchen is staffed with volunteers from 100 WOMEN DBA and the event could not, would NOT happen, without SANDRA PRICE and her crew from RETROFIT. Retrofit collects toys and donations all year long to make this event a super day filled with excitement and wonder for the kids and their families.

Booker Fest
Booker Fest, a three-day performance festival, is 100 Men Hall’s premier fundraiser event, celebrating the one-of-a-kind greatest piano player the region has ever produced, James Carroll Booker III, born in New Orleans and raised in Bay Saint Louis by his aunt, learned to play piano here. Every Labor Day weekend, Booker Fest draws hundreds of visitors from the region, national and internationally to celebrate three days of the legacy of the musical genius who mentored performers such as Dr. John and Harry Connick, Jr.
Summer Blues Brunch Series
The 100 Men Hall hosts a Second Sunday Summer Blues Brunch series that brings in the best of the Blues on stage along with a delicious brunch for purchase by different regional chefs. The Blues Brunch is a perfect cap off to a long weekend on the Coast.
The Writing Room
The Writing Room happens every 2nd Saturday from 10-1PM, led by novelist and arts activist Ellen Morris Prewitt in the famed 100 Men Hall in Bay St. Louis. The cost is FREE.
Ellen, writer-in-residence at the Hall, has twice been nominated for Pushcart Prizes. She’s a frequent speaker on writing and creativity and has conducted many writing workshops.
Rock-N-Roux
Rock ’N’ Roux is held the 2nd Saturday in January and boasts tastings from the best chefs and gumbo cooks the country has to offer, while supporting a historical landmark with cool programming that elevates our community all while listening to some fabulous live music
SwampGrass Get Down
The Hall's Swamp Pop and Blue Grass get down is sure to have everyone out of their seats and on the dance floor. This event features Roots musicians, Cajun & Creole food, and a whole lot of fun to celebrate the arrival of spring.
Cigars Under The Stars
Fantastic folks team up for Cigars Under the Stars outside on the Hall's grounds. Pass Cigars has the smokes and accoutrements for purchase with all proceeds to benefit the Gulf Coast Veterans Association in honor of Veterans Day. Bourbon, whiskey, beer on tap, dranks, delicious food, great smokes in a serene coastal atmosphere.
Día de los Muertos
Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a celebration of our ancestors that happens every year on All Souls' Day, Nov 2.
Prominent in Mexican culture, Día de los Muertos is a joyful time that helps to remember the deceased and celebrate their memory. Join us for mariachi music, community and family altars, dancing, Mexican cuisine and libations!

The Matzo Ball
The Matzo Ball is a delightful evening of Hanukkah and holiday live music, a plethora of menorahs to light, blessings and latkes, a matzo ball toss for a prize, and much much more.
Come light the menorahs with us and bring light into the darkness as we celebrate the most fun of holiday festivals!

Here are the most common questions about events at the Hall.
When is the Hall open to the public?
The Hall opens regularly for Lava Lounge on Thursdays (5-7PM), for The Writing Room (2nd Saturday from 10-1PM), and for events. Text 228.231.1920 to see the Hall outside of these times.
What time do the doors open for an event?
Always an hour before a show.
Is there parking?
We have a parking manager on duty to help you park.
Will there be food at the event?
We work with a variety of chefs who offer food for purchase at events.
Is there a bar?
We have a full service bar and accept all forms of payment.
Could we bring in our own food or liquor?
No. The food chain at the Hall goes like this: ticket sales pay for the band, food sales go directly to the chef, bar sales go to help maintain the Hall.
Will there be seating at the event?
Will there be seating at the event? We do not guarantee seating, but we do our best to accommodate everyone. A few tables could be reserved for a separate fee (note: each guest requires a ticket).
Who was James Booker and what is BOOKER FEST?
James Carroll Booker III (Dec 17, 1939 – Nov 8, 1983) was a New Orleans rhythm and blues keyboardist born in New Orleans, LA and raised by an aunt in Bay St Louis where he attended St. Rose de Lima and learned classical piano. Booker's unique style combined rhythm and blues with jazz standards.
Musician Dr. John described Booker as "the best black, gay, one-eyed junkie piano genius New Orleans has ever produced."
The Fest is an annual fundraiser for the maintenance and preservation of the 100 Men Hall and also to attract regional, national and international attention to both this African American landmark, one of the few standing buildings on the Mississippi Blues Trail and the musical genius of James Booker.
The event happens Labor Day every weekend in the historic district of Bay Saint Louis at 100 Men Hall. Expect musical genius across all genres to celebrate the brilliance of James Booker.
