Jacques and Linda Maraist

DAY 227 Jacques & Linda Maraist photographed exclusively for the 100 Men Hall People Project (100MHPP).

As soon as they opened up after Katrina, I didn’t know much about it, but it was a place to come hear music. We heard Walter Wolfman Washington, Little Freddie King. Marcia Ball, Heather and the Monkey Kings and others. When we started coming the story began to unfold from local people and the educational material that was available. Melva and Prima taught us a lot about the history here because they are natives.
