BUCKWHEAT ZYDECO was the preeminent ambassador of Louisiana’s zydeco music. If you’ve gotten into zydeco music, or felt its influence, or watched the world celebrate this great aspect of Louisiana culture over the past 30+ years it’s likely been because of Buckwheat Zydeco and his Legendary Ils Sont Partis Band. No other zydeco artist has come close to selling as many records or exposing the music to more people around the world. Buckwheat Zydeco and his Legendary Ils Sont Partis Band has played many major music festivals around the world, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Summerfest, San Diego Street Scene, Bumbershoot, Montreaux Jazz Festival, Pori Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival and countless others. Sir Reginald in the role of the lead vocalist, accordion player and keyboardist. Along side him is his father long-time friend Bassist and Musical Director of 33 years Lee Allen Zeno

The coast's top musicians come together under The Chuck Lofton Band. The band originally grew from a group of musicians who were members of The Dock of the Bay Music Company. They were assembled by David "Snake" Hooker to play for one of his legendary birthday parties. The Chuck Lofton Band harness the musical talent of some of the Gulf Coast's best - Tommy Moran on guitar, Sam Brady on keyboards, Chuck Lofton on vocals, Casey Lipe on saxophone, Regan Taylor on bass, Lee Seal on percussions and Gene Moran on drums.

For just $30, you could taste gumbo from some of the best chefs and gumbo cooks the country has to offer, while supporting a historical landmark with cool programming that elevates our community all while listening to some fabulous live music. Rock 'N' Roux teams are comprised of local, regional and nationwide businesses and organizations. The event is a great way to enjoy some of the finest gumbo while connecting with friends in the community - all for a great cause!
